Terms of Engagement & Legal Notices
- Scope of services: SettleMe provides professional conveyancing services for property transactions. This includes contract review, preparation and lodgement of legal documents, liaising with relevant parties, and facilitating settlement. The scope of our engagement will be outlined in your client agreement or retainer. We do not provide financial and taxation advice and legal advice outside of conveyancing.
- Fees and charges: All fees for services will be disclosed prior to engagement. Our fees may be fixed or based on the complexity of the transaction.

In some cases, we may pay a referral fee to these parties after your account has been settled. This fee is paid solely by SettleMe and is not passed on to you. If your matter involves such a referral, it does not affect the cost of our services to you. If you do not wish to proceed under this arrangement, please notify us immediately and discontinue your engagement with SettleMe.
- Communication and recordings: You consent to the recording of communications with SettleMe, including phone calls, video meetings, and emails. These recordings are used for business purposes such as staff training, service quality improvement, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. - Termination of engagement: You may terminate your engagement with SettleMe at any time by providing written notice. We may also terminate the engagement if you breach these terms or if continuing the engagement is no longer appropriate. Any outstanding fees or obligations must be settled upon termination.
- Updates to terms: SettleMe may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
